On the eve of the 55th anniversary of its foundation and 100th anniversary of the independence of Albania, the University of Shkodra 'Luigj Gurakuqi' organized the International Conference 'Towards future sustainable development' in Shkodra, Albania, on 16 - 17 November 2012. The aim of the Conference was to bring together researchers and scientists interested in the broad fields of Environment, Economy, Philological and Social Sciences. Scholars were invited to contribute with papers to a broad range of areas namely Environmental Sciences, Economics, Education, Languages, History, Health Sciences, Humanities, Law, Management, Media, Psychology, and Sociology.
