Project Coordination Group Meeting for the implementation of the MSFD, Brussels, Belgium

The second meeting of the Project Coordination Group (PCG) for the implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) will be held from 12-13 September, in Brussels, in Room ENV-CLIMA-SRD ROOM BU-5 0/C, Avenue de Beaulieu 5, 1160 Brussels.

The PCG was formed in order to give advice and examine practical means which would improve the coherence of projects related to the MSFD implementation, thereby maximising synergies with other relevant activities, on-going and planned, at national, regional and EU levels as well as improving coordination and information exchange between the EU and Regional Sea Conventions (RSCs). Finally, it also reports and, where appropriate, makes proposals to the MSCG (Marine Strategy Coordination Group).

PERSEUS has been invited to contribute, via the Coordinator, on a variety of issues, including a report of the Coordination Meeting of FP7 European and Black Sea Projects, held in Athens, in June 2013.

Additionally, a joint kick off meeting of three pilot projects on monitoring will take place from 14:00-17:30 on Friday, 13/9 in the same room.
