This first task of WP7 is to identify and evaluate the operational as well as the scientists’ specific needs in researching and monitoring the coastal areas, estuaries, port areas and shallow water navigation channels. This process will cover a wide range of needs such as the specificities in sampling these environments in terms of vessel’s capabilities as well as the activities required to be carried out onboard, and the research instruments required. 

For this reason, an anonymous questionnaire has been prepared by WP7 Leader Constantino Cosmidis and George Hatiris, leading task 7.1, in order to help define several issues and prepare the requests and specifications made for the work on scientific and operational needs.
