Citizen Scientists

The “Citizens Scientists” programmes, “Jellyfish Spotting” and “LitterWatch”, give the general public an opportunity to help the scientific community conduct research, while on the beach.

By spotting jellyfish and litter in the sea, recording your sightings and sending them by e-mail or posting them on the website, you will provide research scientists with valuable information on the marine environment, particularly in coastal areas where jellyfish appear more often, and litter is swept to shore.
