WELCOME TO THE JELLYFISH SPOTTING CAMPAIGN
Did you spot a jellyfish on a beach of the Mediterranean or Black Sea? We need your help!
The jellyfish phenomenon is spreading across our seas and scientists don't have the tools for determining patterns of distribution because... they're here today, gone tomorrow.
The ‘Jellyfish Spotting’ campaign relies on “citizen scientists” - mostly beachgoers – to record sightings of jellyfish at the beach and submit the records on the “Jellyfish Spotting” web site. Incoming photos or records will be put on a GIS database and distribution of jellyfish can be viewed from the campaign’s website.
So, give scientists a hand and help monitor the jellyfish migration patterns by submitting a record of your sighting of jellyfish, today.
