This is the fourth out five PERSEUS Regional Stakeholder Workshops towards Good Environmental Status (GES) in the Mediterranean and Black Sea. It will take place at Centre Régional de l'INRH à Tanger, in Tangier, Morocco on 29th and 30th September.

Once again in this workshop series scientists and delegates from regional authorities will be working together on a joint cause, achieving GES in the Mediterranean and Black Sea Basins. It is not an easy process and the workshop’s locations have been carefully selected in order to collaborate with policy makers in key areas of responsibility.

The workshop series aims to create a platform for the establishment of effective regional cooperation in management of the marine ecosystem, within the PERSEUS initiative of promoting Marine Strategy Framework Directive’s (MSFD) principles in non-EU countries under the EcAp approach.

The workshop has three key objectives:

• To address environmental pressures and impacts in the Mediterranean Sea and discuss PERSEUS’ contribution

• To present and discuss PERSEUS project tools and outcomes

• To present national ongoing projects relevant to MSFD.


Participation in the workshop is by invitation only. The registration process closed on 25-09-2015.
