Coming up next, the last Stakeholder Workshop in Tbilisi, Georgia

The last of the five Regional Stakeholder Workshops will be held on 8th and 9th October 2015 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Scientists and delegates from regional authorities will be working together for the last time in this workshop series “Towards a Good Environmental Status of the Mediterranean and Black Sea Basins”. The participants will be informed about the PERSEUS project and the chance for close interaction will be given. Among the workshop’s goals is to create a platform for the establishment of effective regional cooperation in management of the marine ecosystem, within the PERSEUS initiative of promoting Marine Strategy Framework Directive’s (MSFD) principles in non-EU countries under the EcAp approach.

The workshop has three key objectives:

• To address environmental pressures and impacts in the Mediterranean Sea and discuss PERSEUS’ contribution

• To present and discuss PERSEUS project tools and outcomes

• To improve ecosystem-based management between neighbouring countries sharing marine basins

The workshop will take place at the Hotel AMBASADORI, in Tbilisi, Georgia.
