Maritime Spatial Planning Conference Series: 4 Coastal and Maritime Tourism, Venice, Italy
The 4th event of the Maritime Spatial Planning conference series will be dedicated to coastal and maritime tourism. It took place on 27 November 2014 in Venice, Italy.
The conference was opened by Karmenu Vella, European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and was chaired by Paola Imperiale, Minister Plenipotentiary, Maritime Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Italy.
The conference gathered experts, industries and NGOs to discuss the coexistence of tourism and other maritime sectors in a context of increasing use of marine space and entry into force of the Directive for Maritime Spatial Planning.
