Richard Sempere, Research Director at CNRS. Director of LMGEM. He has 20-year experience in marine biogeochemistry, particle fluxes, dissolved and particulate organic matter characterization. Richard Sempéré is current co-PI of Mermex programme; Former Coordinator of the CNRS UVECO project and PI of UVPACA programme; Richard Sempéré will be the future Director of the Mediterranean Institute of Oceanography (MIO) in 2012. Richard Sempéré has been associate editor in Marine Chemistry since 2007, and Review Editor of Aquatic Microbial Ecology. He is associate member of the SCOR Working Group on new microbial concepts and methodology:


Daniela Banaru, Assistant professor and Research Scientist at the Université d’Aix-Marseille 2, UMR CNRS 6117 LMGEM, Centre d'Océanologie de Marseille, France. Her research interests focus on the analysis of the structure and functioning of marine food webs in different exploited systems (Mediterranean and Black Seas) and the description of human impacts (fishing, pollution, climate change) on these systems. She has experience in both field and laboratory analysis (gut contents, stable isotope analysis) and trophic models (Ecopath with Ecosim, OSMOSE). Participation in various national and internationals research projects: AMPED, POTOMAC, ECIMAR, MERLUMED, THONAILLE, IDEA, LIDIA. Author of 18 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and 1 book chapter.
